Located in the City’s historic district, the Old Town Plaza Phase 2/3 Improvements and the Railroad Street Improvements projects were constructed together and included street improvements, the addition of bike lanes, utility undergrounding, utility extensions, sidewalks, drainage improvements, parking lot improvements, and continued improvements to the Old Town Plaza site at the corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Railroad Street. These projects enhanced the sense of community by providing improvements to access and circulation for those walking, biking, riding transit and taking rideshare, and for those needing a place to park and spend time in Old Town Elk Grove. The project also included over 25,000 SF of concrete walkways under a newly fabricated steel canopy structure and landscaping. UNICO provided resident engineering services, field inspection, document control, labor compliance, and public outreach.
