The Merced to Madera segment includes the design of 33.9 miles of corridor. The route includes provision for the grade separated junction at the future San Francisco/Sacramento connections, along with over 45 aerial structures and two trenches. CHSR has implemented its most advanced system engineering approach to date, and as a subconsultant, UNICO is leading the client to determine the most appropriate approach for the structure and architecture of the requirement management and verification and validation. UNICO is also peer reviewing the requirements analysis and is currently working with the design leads to improve and incorporate the process.
