Construction Package 4 (CP4) is the third construction segment for the California High-Speed Rail Program. The construction segment stretches 22-miles from the Tulare/Kern County line toward Shafter where the project will construct at-grade and aerial structures in support of the high-speed rail alignment. As a subconsultant, UNICO is performing the systems integration services for CP4 to confirm the design and construction activities meet contract and design requirements. UNICO is responsible for establishing, and subsequently leading, the development and execution of processes across the design and construction organizations to capture, verify, and validate the contract and design requirements and provide documented evidence as part of the self-certification process. Given the complex nature of high-speed rail, UNICO has also led the management of interfaces across the different disciplines, including those for future railroad works. UNICO has created a system to capture, manage and document these interfaces.
